Why lacrosse? It’s not a big market…

… yet.  Lacrosse is, however, the fastest growing sport in the country and that’s important for the spread of HomeField.  Just check out this article in the New York Times.

And because HomeField is a disruptive technology, we need to establish ourselves with the innovators – the lacrosse pioneers.  Many sports hold long standing traditions and that goes for tech, too, but lacrosse is still so new in the mainstream that coaches are free to make their own decisions about technology.

The beauty, however, lies in the fact that the game is growing across the country and coaches are spreading HomeField at every turn – and not just to other lacrosse coaches.

We have users in soccer, field hockey, ice hockey, basketball… even crew, largely due to word of mouth.

Good business development is all about nailing a core market and transitioning that to the mainstream via references from the innovators and that’s exactly how we’re doing it.
