What is HomeField?
HomeField is a powerful web application that gives your team a competitive advantage when discussing and exchanging game film.
For Coaches
Create your Private Account
Sign up and create your teamʼs private account. All you need is an e-mail address, and youʼre ready to go!
Upload
Upload your video and scouting reports to your account where they are stored securely. Once your files are uploaded, theyʼre kept within your account and your account only. From there you can...
Add Your Team
You can add players or coaches from your Team page. View all the user accounts from this page, so you know who has access at all times. Also, create Groups such as ʻOffenseʼ, or ʻDefenseʼ, to organize positions or sets.
Discuss Your Film
Hold discussions around your video. Start discussions with Specific Groups (Offense, Defense, etc.) Highlight Important plays by linking to specific points in the video.
Instant Trading
Why wait for days to start scouting your opponent? Exchange your game video instantly with other coaches. Choose ʻTwo-Way Tradeʼ if you want something in return for the video you are sending, or choose ʻOne-Way Tradeʼ if nothing is needed in exchange.
Keep Everything
Manage your Active and Archived Media. To analyze or exchange media, keep it as Active. Otherwise, Archive it so it canʼt be touched. Archived media is locked until it has been un-archived and made Active, so you know itʼs secure.
For Players
Discuss Games
When your Coach invites you to join your teamʼs HomeField account, youʼll immediately have access to all uploaded game film and scouting reports that are available. Click on any video to go into an Open Discussion room around that video.
Be Specific
When you want to make a comment in the discussion, use the ʻTalk @ʼ button to select a user to direct the comment to. Also, if you want to highlight a specific play in the video, click the ʻLink to Videoʼ box, which will insert a time-coded link within your comment box.
Focus Your Discussions
On the Home page, youʼll see all available media organized on the left side of your screen. Above that, youʼll also be able to see ʻMy Discussionsʼ, which will list all discussion rooms that you have been invited to, for future reference.
